HMC Partners- 2014 Year In Review
This will be the first Weekly email of 2015, so let’s take a quick look back at the big things that happened this year at HMC Partners. If I had to narrow down 2014 to a single theme it would be Positive Growth, both personally and professionally for all of us. The big events of 2014: 1. Our relationship with Carolina Bank. What a great fit. When you combine two like-minded businesses that have the same “client first” approach, it’s amazing what you can accomplish. It’s reasonable to expect some growing pains when forming a new partnership, but it’s been amazing how seamless and smooth the transition has been. By continuing to put our mutual client’s needs first, both Carolina Bank and HMC Partners have seen tremendous positive growth. More importantly, we believe our clients have benefited the most from this new partnership.
2. Meeting Great New People. We have had the opportunity to meet some great new clients whom we have welcomed into the HMC family. We always appreciate your referrals and the opportunity to help more folks like you.
3. New additions to the HMC Family. I’ve already written about how fortunate I feel to have joined HMC this year, so I’ll spare you the sentiment this time. We also have two other members that have become a part of the HMC family this year as well.
You may have noticed a fresh young face on our Christmas card. Lulu, Gib’s new silver Lab puppy, has been in the office a handful of times now. I can’t say that Lulu helps much with productivity when she’s around, but she’s certainly a morale boost. She’s so fluffy!
My wife also gave us an early Christmas present when she delivered our second daughter, Madison Knox, on December 23rd. Maddie is a happy, healthy baby and Laura is doing a great job as a mom of two. Taylor has been a great big sister so far. Tucker, on the other hand, doesn’t seem too thrilled with once again moving down the Hilliard family hierarchy.
4. Potential Growth ahead. As we move into 2015, we have no plans of slowing down. On January 1st, the clock resets and we dig in for another potentially strong year. We have a lot of great new ideas to build our practice and to continue expanding our relationship with Carolina Bank. We are excited about the potential the market holds for 2015 and we will continue working hard for our clients as they work towards building wealth. However, it is important to keep in mind that past performance is no guarantee of future results.
Happy New Year from HMC Partners!
